Notes
- Pin naming clarification: Pins 1–3 are labeled E0, E1, E2 in the datasheet signal tables (Chip Enable inputs); the PDIP8 package diagram shows these as A0, A1, A2 respectively for pin identification purposes.
- SDA (Pin 5): Open-drain output; requires external pull-up resistor to VCC.
- WC (Pin 7): When driven high, write operations are disabled. When low or floating, write operations are enabled.
- E0, E1, E2 (Pins 1–3): Must be tied to VCC or VSS; when left floating, read as logic 0. These pins set the three least significant bits (b3, b2, b1) of the 7-bit device select code.
