Copyright Takedown Notice

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on SheetsData infringes your copyright, please submit a takedown request.

What we host

SheetsData extracts structured data (electrical specifications, pin configurations, ratings) from publicly available manufacturer datasheets. We do not host or redistribute the original PDF documents. All extracted data is attributed to its source and includes a disclaimer that users should verify specifications against the official manufacturer datasheet.

How to submit a takedown request

Email legal@sheetsdata.com with the following information:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work

Describe the copyrighted material that you claim has been infringed (e.g., the specific datasheet, technical document, or other work).

2. Identification of the infringing content

Provide the URL(s) on SheetsData where the allegedly infringing content appears (e.g., https://sheetsdata.com/parts/TPS54302).

3. Your contact information

Your full name, organization, email address, and phone number.

4. Statement of authority

A statement that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

5. Good faith statement

A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

Our response

Upon receiving a valid takedown request, we will:

  • Acknowledge receipt within 2 business days
  • Review the request and verify the claimed infringement
  • Remove or disable access to the identified content promptly (typically within 5 business days)
  • Notify you when the content has been removed

Counter-notification

If you believe content was removed in error or due to misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to legal@sheetsdata.com containing:

  • Identification of the content that was removed and the location where it appeared
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification
  • Your name, address, and telephone number
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa
  • Your physical or electronic signature

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may reinstate the removed content after forwarding your counter-notification to the original complainant and allowing them 10 business days to seek a court order.

Repeat infringer policy

SheetsData maintains a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of third-party intellectual property rights. If a user's queries or usage patterns result in repeated valid takedown notices, we may suspend or terminate their account without prior notice.

Misrepresentation warning

Any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that content is infringing, or that content was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages including costs and attorneys' fees incurred by the alleged infringer, by SheetsData, or by the copyright owner.

For manufacturers

If you are a semiconductor manufacturer and would like to discuss bulk content policies, data licensing, or partnership opportunities, please contact us at partnerships@sheetsdata.com. We are open to working directly with manufacturers to ensure accurate, authorized representation of your products.

We can also add your domain to our blocklist to prevent future extraction of your datasheets if preferred.
