Notes

  • CP2102-GM variant: Pin 18 is NC (No Connect) on CP2102; it is VPP on the CP2109 variant. For CP2102-GM, leave pin 18 unconnected or tie to VDD.
  • UART and modem control pins (CTS, RTS, DSR, DTR, DCD, RI) can be left unconnected when not used.
  • SUSPEND pins (11 and 12): Pin 11 is driven low and pin 12 is driven high during USB suspend state; they provide complementary outputs.
  • NC pins (10, 13–22): Should be left unconnected or tied to VDD for board compatibility.
  • Pin numbers and names verified against the QFN-28 pinout diagram (Figure 2).

  1. The USB Pull-up supply current values are calculated values based on USB specifications. USB Pull-up supply current is current flowing from V DD to GND through USB pull-down/pull-up resistors on D+ and D-.
  2. Thermal resistance assumes a multi-layer PCB with any exposed pad soldered to a PCB pad.
  3. USB Pull-up current should be added for total supply current. Normal and suspended supply current is current flowing into V REGIN . Normal and suspended supply current is guaranteed by characterization.
