  • The TPS61099 is available in two package variants: YFF (6-pin) and DRV (6-pin + PowerPad). This pinout is for the DRV package as specified.
  • Pin 7 (PowerPad) is a thermal/ground pad on the bottom of the DRV package and should be connected to GND.
  • The YFF package uses the same pin names but different physical locations (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2).

Typical Application

The TPS61099x is a synchronous boost converter designed to operate at a wide input voltage from 0.7 V to 5.5 V with 1-A peak switch current limit. The device adopts a hysteretic control scheme so the operating frequency is not a constant value, which varies with different input/output voltages and inductor values. It only consumes 1μA quiescent current under light load condition. It also supports true shutdown to disconnect the load from the input in order to minimize the leakage current. Therefore, it is very suitable for alkaline battery, coin-cell battery, Li-ion or Li-polymer battery powered systems to extend the battery running time.
