- Address pins (A0–A2): Must be pulled high or low via external resistors; no internal pullups
- RESET pin: Must be connected to VCC through a pullup resistor; active-low signal

- Voltage translation: VCC voltage limits maximum pass-through voltage; allows 1.8-V, 2.5-V, 3.3-V, and 5-V bus compatibility
