Description: A high-speed CAN transceiver that provides an interface between a Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol controller and the physical two-wire CAN bus, compliant with ISO 11898-2:2016 and SAE J2284-1 to SAE J2284-5, supporting data rates up to 5 Mbit/s.
Operating Conditions:
- Supply voltage (VCC): 4.5 V to 5.5 V
- I/O supply voltage (VIO): 2.8 V to 5.5 V (for TJA1051T/3 and TJA1051TK/3)
- Operating temperature (Tvj): -40 °C to +150 °C
- Data rates: up to 5 Mbit/s in the CAN FD fast phase

- Max voltage on CANH, CANL: -58 V to +58 V
- Max voltage on any other pin: -0.3 V to +7 V

- VIO input allows for direct interfacing with 3 V to 5 V microcontrollers (TJA1051T/3 and TJA1051TK/3)
- EN input allows the microcontroller to switch the transceiver to a very low-current Off mode (TJA1051T/E)
- High ElectroStatic Discharge (ESD) handling capability on the bus pins
- Transmit Data (TXD) dominant time-out function
- Undervoltage detection on pins VCC and VIO
- Thermally protected
Applications:
- High-speed CAN applications in the automotive industry
- Suitable for 12 V and 24 V systems
- All types of HS-CAN networks (in nodes that do not require a standby mode with wake-up capability via the bus)
